GC129 Amy Eggleston

Amy Eggleston, Bridge Farm, works alongside her brother and father on their family farm near Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire.

The family run a NZ style grazing system, calving their 600-cow herd in the spring.

The farmland is a medium loam over heavy clay which they aim to graze from late February to November.

The cows predominantly run as one herd, only occasionally being split for grazing to suit different paddock sizes.
