GC107 Jason & Vic Ballantyne, Clynelish Farm, Brora, Sutherland

Clynelish is a 125 ha tenanted cattle & sheep farm with 80 suckler cows calving over 8 weeks from late April, and 150 forward store calves. There are also 550 crossbred ewes lambing outdoors from late April. An additional 50 ha is contracted and runs 200 ewes. The farm has been operating a rotational grazing system for several years now, with the whole farm sub-divided with electric fencing.
